CHERRY BLOSSOM AFTER WINTER

I did not read their original webtoon before starting this series. The title intrigued me and I was expecting a 'flowery' kind of soft BL drama. Initially, when Korea started producing the BL series, the production was often sloppy, the actor's acting skills were not on point and the scenes appeared low-budget. But as the years go by their BL series have drastically improved in terms of actors' acting and film quality.

I really enjoyed watching the first 5 episodes of the series which was published. Some of the comments I read criticized that the actor Hae Bom is not suited for the role. On the contrary, I think that his acting is adequate, although Kang Hui (acted by Tae Sung) displayed his emotions better.

The story portrays Hae Bom as a very 'weak' character both physically and emotionally which was uncomfortable to watch.

Overall I would still recommend this BL drama to watch if you like something that is cute and fluffy!
