If I were to say that I am hooked on Star in My Mind, I am obsessed with KinnPorsche.

The cinematics, lighting, and casting of actors were perfect. This is not your typical BL series where there is mostly fluff. The main genre of this series apart from romance is crime and action, which makes it stand out in the market.

Casting Mile and Apo as the main actors for this show was appropriate. They are both in their late 20s. Their appearance and physique were seen to be mature which suits this BL theme. Before the casting, Mile and Apo actually knew each other from university and they often expressed how comfortable they felt when working with each other.

The series is well-balanced in a way that there are both intense scenes and comedic scenes. Although the series is only up till episode 6 (out of 14), you can see the character development.

Episode 6 is really important in showing what Kinn is like without all his family responsibilities. Contradicting to being handcuffed with Porsche, he felt free to be who he wanted to be and do what his heart wanted.

I was mad at Kinn in episode 5 because of what he did Porsche wrong, and how he punished him after hurting Porsche. Looking from Kinn's perspective, I could say that I understand his inner conflicts with himself, as well as the stress given by other bodyguards due to him being biased toward Porsche.

Kinn not only apologized to Porsche, he even asked him for his forgiveness. He showed us how to give a sincere apology. He was not ashamed of admitting his wrongdoings, yet you can tell how much he regretted his actions.

We also got to see how Kinn and Porsche each have their way of protecting their loved ones.

Porsche was willing to sacrifice his hand to get help. I think the important point here is to note that Porsche's dream was to open a bar. Without his hands, he would not be able to do so.

On the other hand,  Kinn was willing to let Porsche go back to his life even if he wanted to keep him by his side. Kinn also knew how to unlock the handcuffs, but chose not to because he wanted to get closer to Porsche, both mentally and physically.

Having read parts of the novel, the scriptwriting did a great job in revising some of the storylines. If my memory does not fail me, I do not recall any part of the novel where Kinn apologized to Porsche sincerely. They also toned down Kinn's personality to make him more "human-like" in this series.

I am excited to know how the rest of the story unfolds in the series, and also the second couple VegasPete's storyline.
