STAR IN MY MIND EP. 1-3

Star In My Mind is another BL series produced by GMMTV. Initially, when my cousin first recommended this series to me, I had zero expectations for it as I had not seen the trailer. I have had previously seen one of the works of Joong, 2 Moons, and I felt that his acting was average and nothing stood out which might explain my lack of excitement for this new series. Nevertheless, I knew that GMMTV's BL series rarely disappoints so I decided to give this series a go.

This story plot of reuniting with your crush in higher education is fairly new in the BL genre and that makes it refreshing to watch.

Throughout the past 3 episodes that I have watched, I am very impressed by Joong's acting. The way that Kleun looks at Dao, you will straight away know that he has feelings for him. However, it was also mentioned that Kleun has a girlfriend from his high school and they are still dating. I am unsure of how this part of the plot will unfold but I am looking forward to my Fridays after knowing this series.

When Kleun was asked by his friends whether he liked Dao, his response was rather vague and it left a lot of space for his friends and us to figure it out.

"What isn't mine, I won't try to take it. What is mine, I will never let anyone take it." - Kleun

This scene will forever be iconic in GMMTV history. Initially, I thought that Kleun would pretend that he did not know what was happening when their friends saw them sleeping together in the same bed. However, he just stared at his friend and went back to sleep with Dao. It is endearing to see Kleun, as a cold and calm person on the outside, having this side of him for Dao.
